Reviews and Ratings
Staying at the old winter palace was a majestic experience with its grand rooms and stunning Nile views. The rooms were spacious with lovely balconies, but showed signs of wear and tear. The service was friendly overall, with standout assistance from Mohammed. The hotel's location offered a riverside retreat close to Luxor's main attractions. Dining was a mix of delicious and overpriced options. Overall, a grand but slightly worn gem by the Nile.
The hotel offers a beautiful view of the garden, but rooms can be cold with limited seating. The service is exceptional, making it an extraordinary experience. The dining experience is stylish and plentiful, yet it may be far from okay.
The hotel is a fantastic place with spacious and stunning rooms that overlook the hotel entrance to the east, receiving the morning sun. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in Egypt. The staff were friendly and welcoming, set in a beautiful garden setting with outdoor swimming areas. The location is fantastic, right next to the Luxor temple and across the Nile to the Valley of Kings and Queens. The dining experience offered delicious options, and the facilities were top-notch.
I was lucky to get a free upgrade to a spacious room overlooking the beautiful gardens with an expansive balcony, away from the elevator. The hotel provided top-notch service beyond my expectations, especially when accommodating special requests. The location, near Luxor Temple and the Nile, was simply charming. The dining experience offered a wide range of dishes, though breakfast options could be more varied. Overall, a lovely stay with a few hiccups.
The hotel has a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms, despite being subject to noise and closer to a mosque, are spacious and have very comfy beds. The service is warm and welcoming, but there are issues with inaccurate taxi price estimates. The location is perfect with breathtaking views of the Nile, but the dining experience falls short of expectations in terms of food quality. Overall, a hotel with some strong points but some areas that need improvement.
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms were in top form and exceeded my expectations with a warm welcome and attention to detail, although a bit more decoration could enhance the overall vibe. The lovely balcony overlooking the Nile was a definite plus. The price of $104 AUD was reasonable considering the quality of the rooms.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, despite having seriously damaged carpet and being subject to noise from loud exhaust fans and the nearby mosque, offered a nice garden view. The service was exceptional, especially thanks to the Food and Beverage Manager who made the evening truly special at the Pool Restaurant. The location was outstanding, overlooking the great Nile river, although some aspects like the airport transfer service came across as pricey. The dining was enjoyable but lacked variety after a week. Overall, the hotel presented a unique experience with some drawbacks to consider.
My stay at the hotel was simply wonderful! The rooms were huge with their own private balcony overlooking the Nile, and the old hotel entrance added a unique twist. I couldn't get enough of the stunning views of the Valley of the Kings & Queens and the Nile right outside my window.
